Product Description
Our Cable Laid Wire Rope Slings are formed from wire rope constructed of six or eight unit ropes laid as outers over one core unit rope, featuring 6 x 37 (a), 6 x 61 (a), 8 x 61 (a) or 8 x 61 (ab) construction, with 1770 MPa in tension strength. The unit ropes have a steel core. They are galvanized to offer protection from corrosion, with more flexibility and resistance to kinking than regular wire rope.
Standard Cable Laid Slings are manufactured in a traditional single leg design, other fittings are available to allow for complete customization, such as Thimbles, Flemish Eye Sleeves, Aluminum Ferrule, Hooks and Rings. With a termination at each end, our cable slings are usually in the form of a mechanically spliced eye. Flemish eye mechanical splices, secured by swaged metal , provide centerline pull at the eyes. They are more flexible, and the same capacity as single-part slings.
Cable Laid Slings are ideal for applications that require the rope to bend easily, for example, operations for heavy duty industrial, construction, offshore O&G.
